Severus Alexander (222–235) – Moesia Inferior This provincial bronze coin comes from Moesia Inferior, a region of the Roman Empire along the lower Danube. It depicts Emperor Severus Alexander and highlights the local veneration of the healing god Asclepius. Obverse: Laureate bust of Emperor Severus Alexander facing right. Inscription: Greek legend with imperial titles. Reverse: Asclepius standing left, holding a serpent-entwined staff (symbol of healing). Inscription: Greek legend naming the mint in Moesia Inferior. Condition: Very fine (VF) – clear details, well-readable legends, attractive patina.
