Obv.: IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG – Laureate head of Vespasian right. Rev.: IVVENTVS – Two clasped hands (dextrarum iunctio), above a legionary standard with fluttering banners, below a small wreath. The reverse refers to the Roman cult of Iuventus, symbolising bravery, military strength and the renewal of the Empire. The handshake and standard underline the loyalty of the young soldiers to the emperor after the civil war.
